It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Delimas~!

Staff Note: We absolutely apologize for the tardiness of this event. Reasons for being that Staff activity has taken a dive and has only just been picked up again by the addition of the newest members, vartio and chaosonex. That said, please read further to see a bit of Delimas-cheer in an attempt to thank you all for your patience and understanding!

Apricorns roasting on an open fire, Snorunt nipping at your nose. It's been said many times and many ways, but Happy Delimas, it's truly lovely to bring this Godian Tradition back again this year!

To those who may not know, this is an event we do annually where people spend their hard earned Dians to send gifts, joy, and merriment to others, and we even provide a shopping catalog~

Here's how it works~

Firstly, make sure you keep this a secret, don't let anyone know what you're giving or to whom you're giving it~ This year we will do something different from the previous years. Due to the low member amount thanks to the move and Real Life picking up steam with some members, we have decided to employ a Blind Deliclaus! So rather then specifying for who you buy the gift(s), you will only inform us which characters buys the gift and then our Staff members will pick a random character with the use of the RNG to who that gift will be sent to.

You can choose to send a gift from your own inventory, buy something in the pokemart, or buy one from the catalog below.

Please use this template to send a gift and PM it to the user Godai, the staff will keep track of who's sent what there.

Once the mod's go through their inbox, they'll wrap up all the presents with wonderful ribbon and place it underneath our beautifully decorated tree. And you can do this as many times as you'd like, provided you have enough money.

However, in order to receive any gifts, you must write a letter to Deliclause.

If you're having trouble doing your shopping, you may also request the mod to give you a name at random from someone who has already sent out presents.

You cannot send presents from one of your characters to your other. You'd think we wouldn't have to specify that in the spirit of giving and selflessness, but we do.

Finally, this Fall and Summer have been a rough one for us young people, what with school, work, The Move, current events, and every other responsibility, and we haven't gotten as much Roleplaying done as we have in previous years. This also means that we might not have as many dians to spend this year. But, worry not! The Staff is very understanding and also does truly love this holiday so we are going to do something new! This year, if you're a New-ish Member (active since September 1, 2018) and an Older Member, your character(s) may have a choice between having their Dians Multiplied by 2.5x or adding 5,000 to their current total. There are (2) small catches though. Of course: 1) Only if you're an Older Member (active prior to September 1, 2018) you must have at least gotten your characters re-approved. New active Members do need to be completely approved at least the 19th of January before we open the presents to get that Dian increase. 2) You have to reply to this thread, writing a letter from the point of view of your character, To Delicause, the Delibird mascot of Delimas. This can be funny or not, but it also serves as a good tool to let others know what you may want waiting for that character under the tree. Once you do, make a modification and use the letter post in this thread as the source for adding on the amount of Dians you chose. Yes, some folk will be getting a couple thousand dians, some of you will be getting 10s of thousands of dians. But who knows, this may remove any frugality-causing fear that people may have, and amount to a more bountiful holiday~

Aside from the Dian Increase Modification, Do not submit any other modifications until after the presents are opened. We'll do that on January the 20th. Then we'll be able to give thanks and have an absolutely lovely holiday together~

Greetings Sir Deliclaus

So we meet once more as the Winter Solstice is coming upon us and you will be slowly rolling your way out of you residence, bringing joy and laughter with you. For the wealthy that is, the poor can just choke on it and pray to be thrown a scrap now can't they? It keeps baffling me how people can still believe in all that rot about joy and peace when it's nothing more than people patting themselves on the back for 'helping' each other for a month. Well, that's less your fault than it is humanity's hypocrisy being at play.

Speaking of hypocrisy, let us focus on the reason why I bother wasting paper and ink on this. Apart from mother flaying me for not keeping up the 'tradition'. Granted, she will be less than thrilled to read this lark but we don't all get what we want, now do we? Of course, that IS your job so let's deviate no longer.

I would like come Vitamins to boost my Pokémon's performances in battle, and I also wouldn't say no to any capture items such as Apricorns and Ultra Balls. I'll find a way to incorporate a semi-useful TM if you can find it in your milk drowning heart, and I would greatly appreaciate any item that boosts my Pokémon by holding it.

Howdy Saint Deli!

I hope this letter reaches you and doesn't get lost in the mail like I would in a straight road busy town! Damn it Anderson, don't ruin my letter!

Right where was I? Oh right, greetings... Well, the last year has been a pleasant enough one if only because Fern evolved into this kick ass Shiftry. I know he's not any different from other Shiftries, but he's one of my best pals so there! Gjöll and Chrysta have also slowly opened up to us and I dread the day they will leave us. But it's only right, as I promised to only have them temporarily. But that's enough bad news!

Now, I for the gifts part. Ugh, that's always tricky. I've got most things someone would want in the form of family and Fern, so I guess some extra stuff for him and the others might be good? A Moon Stone for Chrysta might be nice. I could gift it to her when she leaves and let Gjöll take care of it until she feels like using it. Hmm, I'd like to decorate Gjöll as well so maybe a scarf for the little guy? Or a hardy rock with which he can play with? Fern would most likely want stuff that makes taking care of me easier for him, so go wild~ Oh, and while it's normally the other way around, I wouldn't say no to some cookies.

It's annoying. Everyone feels the need to write to you expecting their troubles to just go away. It's not as if you actually read all this forsaken mail. Most get tiring hearing from people who just expect you to make their world lighter without any real effort, eh? Suppose I don't have much of reason to write you either, but Skye, my sister*water damage* too every year. She drag me into it along the way and no matter how many *water damage* *water damage* no. Just get me some capture capsules, maybe some heals. Any useful tms would be nice... Oh, and a dusk stone if you feel especially generous. Sarcasm aside I don't see why people find this so important. Things are going.
I'm surrounded my monsters that spit fire, fly and other ones that are the size of literal houses and want to eat me. What's not to like?
Also whinny trainers that are on a journey of self discovery, but I avoid those. #Priorities

The motto is the same though, get money and "find ladies". I know, I know. Language.
But yeah, getting money is neat. Allows me to eat, buy nice cars and TMs/Mega stones for my guys.
Not like the officials are ever gonna lift the ban on that 2 badge rule so haven't exactly used those just yet...

Like seriously.
Anyway, yeah. Might actually go for a badge soon, might not. We'll see, I do get lazy sometimes.
But I'm gonna make some changes... unless Gyarados eats me before that.
I'm staying sharp though, also my pokemon sorta like me so I figure I'll be fine.

I hope you're doing well this year and yes, my Pokemon and I are also doing well over a year now.

To be honest, all I want for Delimas this year is staying home with my family drink Hot Choco alongside with my Pokemon, especially with Senuki and Zwei. But if there is one thing I want for this year is to have a Dusk Stone to surprise my Honedge when he evolves into Doublade. Not only that, if you send a skateboard or a bike to aid me in my journey, that would be nice.

I just want to thank you for the Dawn Stone you gave me! I didn't use it yet, but I hope my Ralts would be happy when I show it to him!

Well, for this year, I hope I can get that all-new bike that I saw in that TV advert back home. I don't know if that makes sense, but at least my feet won't get tired from those long routes. Also, I do need some medicine in case Rei gets hurt from a battle or an accident. You know, in case of emergencies.

Wow, it's been a year hasn't it? Maybe longer... hm. Well things have been hectic here, so I guess it just feels longer! 

Last year, I remember asking for stuff to capture Riolu (who still is eluding me!). I think that stands even this year more than before. There's so many Pokemon I'll need to catch, even now. SO I'm thinking Apricorns, namely Red and White, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and preferably max repels as usual, yeah?

Ooh speaking of, I reaaaally want a Prism Scale! I got a Feebas with that scale's name on it, and I'd really like to see a candorously invoked evolution!

Finally, it's about time I got serious. There's items out there that go great with breeding pokemon! Ooh, and Vitamins, and TMs! For TMs I'm mostly looking at Hidden Power, Toxic, Brick Break, Shadow Claw, Dig, U-Turn, mostly Fighting, Dark, Psychic, Ghost type TMs, and high utility ones (like Toxic and U-Turn).

I want to be prepared for my future gym challenges, seeing as I doubt they'll be as lenient as my first challenge!

Dear Deliclause,

Merry Delimas. Considering what has happened the past year, I know I haven't been the best of people but I don't want that to affect my pokemon. Instead, please help out my little pokemon friends. For Rhea I would like to give her a sunstone. Arceus knows she deserves it. As for Lapras, perhaps a cookie? I want to get closer to him, and he is a rather large fellow, so maybe some food will do the trick. I also wouldn't mind a small first aid package, to make sure my pokemon are always healthy. Like I've said, I know I don't deserve it, but my pokemon sure as hell do. If what I've done has deemed me unworthy of recieving gifts, that's fine. I understand. I'll try to be a better person next year for them.

Dear Deliclause,

This year has been blessed, but I cannot tell whether it has truly been going in my favor at all or not. My Pokemon continues to grow stronger, but they're not at the same level as my more powerful family members. I want to be like my father someday and conquer everything. My Pokemon are at optimal levels, but that has been met with misfortune. My future knight Galahad is timid, and a girl named Finny called me out at a commoner diner. It was a terrible experience.

Nonetheless, I have been noble and true to others. I should get a fitting reward, but if you could help me get my Pokemon to be stronger, then that would be a great help. I hear cookies help, but even I'm not sure that's scientifically accurate.

The year has been a crazy one. I think I've found someone who appreciates me and I like to believe she's being sincere. Nobody knows yet, not that I'm making anything public, but I'm happy in a weird sort of way. It's in this introspection that I find what I truly need in life, other than romance of course, and that's more shiny shit to distract me from all the drama happening at home.
