It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Delimas~!

Staff Note: We absolutely apologize for the tardiness of this event. The new Calta update has kept the mod team very busy recently. That said, please read further to see a bit of Delimas-cheer in an attempt to thank you all for your patience and understanding!

Apricorns roasting on an open fire, Snorunt nipping at your nose. It's been said many times and many ways, but Happy Delimas, it's truly lovely to bring this Godian Tradition back again this year!

To those who may not know, this is an event we do annually where people spend their hard earned Dians to send gifts, joy, and merriment to others, and we even provide a shopping catalog~

Here's how it works~

Firstly, make sure you keep this a secret, don't let anyone know what you're giving or to whom you're giving it~

You can choose to send a gift from your own inventory, buy something in the pokemart, or buy one from the catalog below.

Please use this template to send a gift and PM it to the user Godai, the staff will keep track of who's sent what there.

Once the mod's go through their inbox, they'll wrap up all the presents with wonderful ribbon and place it underneath our beautifully decorated tree. And you can do this as many times as you'd like, provided you have enough money.

However, in order to receive any gifts, you must first send out at least two presents. Feel free to give more than that.

If you're having trouble doing your shopping, you may also request the mod to give you a name at random from someone who has already sent out presents.

You cannot send presents from one of your characters to your other. You'd think we wouldn't have to specify that in the spirit of giving and selflessness, but we do.

Finally, This Fall has been a rough one for us young people, what with school, work, current events, and every other responsibility, and we haven't gotten as much Roleplaying done as we have in previous years. This also means that we might not have as many dians to spend this year. But, worry not! The Staff is very understanding and also does truly love this holiday so we are going to give out a little gift to help jumpstart this merry season! This year, your character(s) may have a choice between having their Dians Multiplied by 2.5x or adding 5000 to their current total. There are (2) small catches though. Of course: 1) Only if you're an Older Member (active prior to January 1, 2019) your Character(s) must have at least (2) Evaluated Topics under their belt. New active Members do not need to have any Evaluated Topics to get that Dian increase. 2) You have to reply to this thread, writing a letter from the point of view of your character, To Delicause, the Delibird mascot of Delimas. This can be funny or not, but it also serves as a good tool to let others know what you may want waiting for that character under the tree. Once you do, make a modification and use the letter post in this thread as the source for adding on the amount of Dians you chose. Yes, some folk will be getting a couple thousand dians, some of you will be getting 10s of thousands of dians. But who knows, this may remove any frugality-causing fear that people may have, and amount to a more bountiful holiday~

Please Note: Due to the delay of Delimas and the business of the season, ALL Presents will be officially opened on February 1, 2020 in order to give plenty of time to all members who want to participate. Thank you.

Aside from the Dian Increase Modification, Do not submit any other modifications until after the presents are opened. We'll do that on February 1st. Then we'll be able to give thanks and have an absolutely lovely holiday together~

This year has been pretty crazy. Between leaving on my journey, meeting new Pokemon, and having close encounters I’m surprised I’m able to send this letter to you. Right now I’m currently visiting Acrelea Valley, so I don’t even know if this letter will reach you. But I still wanted to try and send it because I know the holiday cheer is important in Godai.

I’m writing this letter in hopes that you can give me some inspiration in my giving. I personally don’t want anything, except maybe some camping gear. This wind is pretty brutal. After sealing the envelope Chris walks up to the top of the windy hill where he made his camp. Taking a deep breath he tossed the light paper into the air as high as he could. Flint added his own Gust to the already blowing wind, which caused the letter to fly even higher before disappearing into the distance.

It was only until after the letter was gone that Chris realized that he might get in trouble for littering.

I hope you're doing well this year. As for me, I was very busy with my Pokemon journey lately. Training with my Pokemon, battling other trainers... Stating that I did a lot this year was an overstatement. Regardless, I was happy with my progress as a trainer this year.

As for what I want for this Delimas, I initially had no idea what to get for this year, but thanks to the previous events, I think I got my wish list. Sure, some medicine and useful TMs would be nice, but I was hoping to get some items like a watering can, a Berry Pot, or some berries to help me grow my own to avoid wasting my money on some more of them in case of emergencies. Also, I'm hoping to have my camping gear as well. Considering how much I have to travel around Godai and the rumors of this Calta province I've heard around the net, I feel that I might get one just in case I need to camp out once more. I know this is a bit much than I usually asked last year, but I hope this might be enough to give you ideas.

Regardless, thank you in advance for the gifts and I hope you have a good Delimas once more.

I like to say thank you again for last year's presents. While I don't know when will I use these items for emergencies or something, I know I might able to do so at a later date. Thankfully, this year was very great! Rei is starting to get used to strangers, Miu managed to control her hugging tendencies so far, and Mimi... Well... She is the same as always.

Anyways, I know that wish of having my bike or skateboard might be a bit far fetched to ask again this year, but a kid couldn't dream big, right? But seriously, if I want something that might help me in my Pokemon journey, I'm guessing a camping kit should be fine. My friend, Caleb mentioned that it's useful in case I'm not near a Pokemon Center, a hotel, or a place that may be suitable for a Secret Base. Also, I might ask for some more Poke Balls, medicine, or any useful items that may help my Pokemon a bit. If I want to be a good Pokemon trainer like my older brother and Caleb, I might as well prepare myself for the worst.

Dear Deliclause,

Well its been a lot of fun journeying around with my pokemon, and I almost didn't write to you because of all the adventures I've been having (And I may or may not have just forgotten as well), but then I remembered that I should do this before it's too late. I made a list earlier of some things that would be nice to have, so lets see here...

Something for Benji would be nice, preferably something to help keep him calm such as a soothe bell. If you have them, a TM for Toxic or Venoshock would be nice to teach him as well. For Laelia, I was thinking she might enjoy a scarf or something. She enjoys wearing flowers on her head (particularly light blue and purple ones) and is disappointed when they wilt (alternatively some kind of fake flower pin or something she can wear?), so a scarf might be nice for her. For Laurel, a TM or TR would be nice, perhaps for something like Hidden Power? Bide and Bullet Seed are the only two attacking moves she knows, and I would prefer avoiding Bide if at all possible so another move would be a nice option. It is a little far in the future but having a leaf stone on hand for when she evolves would be nice too but that's likely too far away to worry about now.

As for me, well, some pokeballs or great balls would be nice, and some medicine to use in an emergency would be a really good thing to have on hand. Some TM's i could teach my team would be nice too, especially ones that would help out if we encounter something like a flying or fire type since Benji, Laelia, and Laurel are all grass types. Camping gear might also be helpful, as I do plan to spend quite a bit of time traveling for my studies. Beyond that, I don't really need anything in particular.

A small letter, neatly folded in on itself, draws your attention. Further inspection proves it to have been printed by hand, the nearly illegible scrawl inked on top of the soft blue paper difficult to make out. You gently fold it back and begin to read.

"Oho, it's been a hell of a year. My brother's been in remission for about two years now, and his pokemon are taking his recovery like a champ and doing everything they can to help him get better. My pokemon don't really understand what's going on, but they try their hardest to get along, which is all that I can hope for. Sooner or later, I intend to take Hiwa, Buttercup, and maybe Queen up to Weswell should she be able to behave. I intend to challenge the Rock gym before heading back and... Truth be told, I'm not sure where to go from there. But that's just how I live my life, I guess. I'm sure I'll find something.

In truth, I'm not really going to ask for anything this year, as I'm relatively content as I am. If there was a need for anything, though, I'm just hoping I can focus more on some of the weaker members of my team at the moment- I've been focusing a lot on Queen due to her behavioral issues, and I just want to make it up to them.

This year is going to be full of change. It is time to do some work in the field - I am very excited to learn about all kinds of subjects first-hand! Me and Alphonse are on the same page on this, so I think we should have enough energy and dedication to be able to handle most challenges that cross our path. I hope I remain safe, but shying away from potentially dangerous experiments won’t yield any useful results. So if I were to ask for something, it would probably be for a productive year.

If we’re talking about material possessions, I don’t think I particularly need anything. Sure, it’s always a nice feeling to receive gifts, but you don’t have to give me anything, I can manage on my own perfectly! And I am sure Alphonse thinks the same, seeing how he enjoys living in the moment. This means that we are pretty content with what we have. Yet I’m interested in observing what effects this letter might have, so feel free to surprise me.

Dear Deliclause,

This year was just the best. I finally got to understand Galahad, and he and I are closer than ever. He is the same shy Pokemon as I found him when I first met him at the Temple, but now he's brave enough to fight. That's more than I could ever ask for. I still need to figure out the rest of my Pokemon though. Half of the time, I feel like I could read them like a book. The other half of the time, I'm constantly guessing what they want or what they're thinking. I really don't want another fiasco with my Pokemon like what happened with Galahad. It's really hard to be a trainer at times.

I'm only writing this because if I catch more Pokemon to my team, I want to easily be friends with them. So any items that could help me strengthen my bond with my Pokemon would help. Immensely!

Here's to hope that I could be the worthy trainer I always wanted to be!

It's been a long year. I've basically reset everything, but yet... recently it feels like I've been stuck in a rut. Did I make the right choice?

I don't want anything material, really. Give that to others who need it. The only thing I ask for is guidance, if that's something you can even give.

Luke stared at the small piece of paper in his hands, the edges already crumpled from his grip. It was so small, so empty, but he couldn't figure out what else to write. He slowly rolled it up and tied it shut with some string.

It was quiet in the waiting area. The center was mostly closed up at 2 am, with nothing but a single nurse keeping the front desk open. They acknowledged each other as Luke walked to the Delimas tree. Scrolls and envelopes peaked out from between the decorations scattered across it. Luke found a small branch that was empty and nestled his tiny note into its crook.
