Sung-min waited for her name to be called and despite the loss she took in the first round it sounded like even more people were cheering for her than before. When the foreign music played on the speakers on her behalf, fewer of the crowd fell silent as a result, A more accepting audience or one that at least had become more tolerant of her taste as a sign of solidarity for the one they chose to root for. Some people liked an underdog.
Sung-Min was all too happy to positively strut out again onto the field. Yet again in a display of strength and training she had her Seviper coiled around her arms and shoulders. The large and menacing serpent's ebony and indigo scales glistened with rainbow specularity in the bright lights of the stadium. Once again, it seemed, she was on the simple field. She wondered if it was chance or if they simply gave this stage to newer trainers not expecting them to understand how to take advantage of the intricacies of a more complex battlefield.
Crossing the field to stop firmly on her mark, Sung-Min did something resembling a curtsy and as she did her seviper slithered off her shoulders and coiled up at her side. She stood up and spun around with her arms raised to the crowds all around blowing a few kisses in all directions. Her pulse pounded in her chest as she acted with confidence putting on the best damn show she knew how. This might be her last chance to strut about in front of such a crowd for a long time, and she wanted to leave a lasting impression. It was a rush, not dissimilar from the one she missed the most, and in fact a part of that wayward feeling.
Turning back to the arena, Sung crouched down once more and stroked Seviper's head with her fingers before nudging it gently towards the arena. Her supporters in the crowd exploded in wild praise again, all too eager to see the snake she'd become synonymous with get its chance to act.
Sung-Min turned her attention towards the opposite side of the arena curious to see what manner of opponent she had been paired against and what they would bring to the table.
Delinquent Sung-Min wants to battle. Sung-Min has sent out Seviper

"Great... that's okay... as long as we win this, we can do this..." Titus whispered to himself as he closed his eyes and rested his on the locker doors. He allowed the cacophony of the crowd to drown all of his senses and enter deep into his mind. His last battle, no matter how bravely and gallantly he fought, ended in his defeat. No amount of training prepped him for a simply stronger enemy. Deep down, if he would have done something different... he would. Maybe it was fate that he lost to Martini? Or maybe Titus severely miscalculated.
"Hey!" Travis snapped his fingers at Titus, and it forced Titus' eyes wide open. "Get up! You haven't lost yet! You can do it!"
"I just need to do it!" nodded Titus. "I just need to do it..." He kept muttering the same sentence over and over again like an incantation. Titus hoped to fall under its spell so he could actually redeem himself.
"Yeah!" yelled Travis. He grabbed Titus by the arms and forced his friend to stand up.
"Yeah!" nodded Titus.
"Yeah!"
"Yeah!" roared Titus. "Let's do this! I feel pumped up!"
"There you go! So, you got a new strategy?" asked Travis.
"None at all!" replied Titus, feeling a lot more confident than ever. But he received a glare from Travis, who expected some brilliant mind to come out from him. Nonetheless, Titus reassured him. "Look. I'm just gonna approach it the conventional way. Terrain's flat. Nothing to hide. It's all pure skill."
"Good luck!"
"Thanks!" He confidentally pointed at Travis for the final time before heading to the stadium grounds. This was going to be the match that Titus had to win no matter what.
He entered into a different stadium. It had no forest to hide or lake to bunker down or mountain to look down on the enemy. Only white lines made up the stadium grounds, similar to the ones sports teams would play. At the center stood a Poke Ball. The crowd greeted Titus with endless waves of cheers and jeers, and Titus waved back silently.
He arrived at his spot and saw the opponent: a true epitome of athleticism and city life. The baggy pants, the sportish wear, all of that screamed a woman that wasn't afraid of anything. As a matter of fact, her Seviper danced around and callously stared at Titus. The two together seemed vicious, and the fact began to force Titus to breath harder. Not out of nervousness, but from the fact that he was about to receive a fantastic battle. The crowd, Sung, and the Seviper pumped Titus up.
He took out his Poke Ball and threw it into the air. Once more, his signature Pokemon graced into the field once more: Imperator. He threw out a triumphant roar, despite the setback, cleaned his arms, and leaned forward ready to charge the enemy.
"You ready!?" yelled Titus.
"Squaaa!" Imperator roared back. The bell rang. The crowd's voice grew in a crescendo, and the battle begins.
"Good! Charge!" At his trainer's command, he dashed forward and unleashed a barrage of bubbles at the enemy.

Sung smirked, she thought she was the odd one in the lineup until she saw this kid walking in like he thought he was big time. How tough could a little kid be? This was the bracket for people who'd already lost once after all. Maybe he was the one person here more in over their head than she was.
The smile that crossed her lips at that thought was a devilish one to match the horn-like shapes her hair had been twisted up into. The perfect picture of a villain, Sung-Min's smile only faltered slightly when the uppity little brat sent out a Prinplup. While it was true she and seviper were still getting to know each other, Sung had gotten the impression that the poisonous snake wasn't quite on the level of an evolved pokémon yet. Still she held her composure and made herself determined to press forward in spite of the odds.
Sung was about to issue a command of her own when the boy told his Prinplup to charge. As soon as it moved, she saw a flash of blue light as a gem around its neck shattered and the air of confidence she had put on display vanished entirely.
“Seviper, look out!” She called knowing it was little more than stating the obvious, and that there was little else she could do.
The serpent, to its credit, was faster than she expected. Its natural predatory instincts took over as it weaved to the side. The attack still struck but it had been turned into a glancing blow as Seviper skirted the razor's edge of the attack to dart forward where its opponent would be most blind. Within the scope of its own blast Seviper closed the distance and hurled itself around its opponent attempting to bind them in its coils.
“STRIKE!” Sung-Min commanded as her pulse pounded in her ears, seeing how her savage serpent shifted the scales of the fight in its favor.
Like with the prinplup, Seviper too gave off a flash of light as a purple gem glowed with aura and shattered. As seviper attempted to wind the flightless bird in its binding coils it's vicious red tail glowed purple as it attempted to rake across the pokémon's feathery hide.
Seviper was hit by Bubblebeam. Seviper took the injury to cover its approach. Seviper attempted a wrap attack. Seviper attempted to pair its wrap attack with a Gem-boosted Poison Tail.

"Huh. This battle might be over soon," commented Titus as he saw the billowing smoke from the Bubble Beam attack. Battles, in Titus' experience, lasted a bit longer than this. If that venomous snake took the full barrage, then Titus would have snuffed out Sung's last hopes of victory. To him, this was all easy and obvious. He couldn't say anything, but he was personally disappointed in Sung. He may have lost against Martini, but he wished for something exciting as his battle against the Ravensdale heiress.
"Go get 'em, Imperator!" He stretched his arm forward like a victorious commander, and the imperious Prinplup charged into the smoke to victory, unaware of the ambush set up by the vengeful Sung. Titus and Imperator charged forward, and the Water-type Pokemon unveiled a white energy blade. A single Cut attack would work.
But it wouldn't be the first time Titus' strategic calculations failed him. The moment the Prinplup entered into the smoke, the Seviper sprung her trap. She lunged her entire body at the Prinplup with speed seemingly faster than a bullet and wrapped around the penguin in its entirety. Once the Seviper held Imperator in her grip, she began to stab him with a series of jabs using her tail. Imperator screamed and threw himself to the ground, feeing the sharp sensation while trying to throw the snake off him. But the Seviper held firm, probably to Sung's pleasure, and the crowd grew wild.
"Get out of there! Get out of there!" But no amount of screaming would free Imperator at the moment. Even worse, one of the Poison Tail jabs seemed fatal.
The Seviper poisoned Imperator, and the royal feathered penguin found out that it was harder to breathe. Imperator felt a sensation on his throat; He wanted to cough, but his entire body seemed to be squished to nothingness. The crowd shifted their allegiance to the punk girl with the Poison-type snake, prematurely cheering Sung as the victor. Titus growled feeling infuriated, and the Prinplup roared in anger. He wasn't going to let that stand.
"Metal Claw!" ordered Titus, almost screaming angrily. Imperator's claws glowed bright, ready to free himself from the bind. This was going to get serious.

The gamble worked. The wounded hunter surged forward, the flash of aura could have been the blow to end it, but it had sought dangerous prey before. The prey was faster, but it was not prepared. Muscular coils made wide and lazy circles around the creature hidden in the shadow of debris caused by its attack. Looking where it thought it had felled the hunter, the prey was about to strike when it too noticed the trap being laid, and just in time for its master to see it as well. They called out and the large bird tried to change direction, tried to alter their attack but it was too little too late as the winding coils closed quickly and its powerful strike clashed uselessly against poisonous blade. As the gem surged with its aura, the hunter felt a rush like never before surge through its veins urging it onward making it feel unstoppable as it struck hard with its blade and pushed as much of its poison as it could.
Muscular coils wrapped tightly around the Prinplup and constricted as tightly as they could. Each coil attempted to crush bone and squeeze air from lungs as it had done to so many other creatures. However in the fray, and due to the wound it had taken its windings had not been quite tight enough. The trainer gave his desperate command and seviper felt as its prey managed to loosen a foot That foot was all it needed however as its talons flashed with silvery aura and struck down into one of Seviper's coils.
Seviper's body released even as the coils of aura still wound tightly around Prinplup. It hissed in pain and dismay from the fierce attack. Only adrenaline kept it conscious in the face of the pain from its injuries, adrenaline and spite. In a flash like lightning Seviper lunged with its fangs bared attempting to drive them into the offending fowl.
Sung-Min watched, the debris cloud had blocked their view and was only just clearing enough for her to see what was happening to her precious seviper. Now she saw it half, coiled around her opponent's pokémon and lunging with its fangs. She couldn't see how she could command it to do any better than it was already doing. She only hoped for the sake of both their pride, it would be enough.
Prinplup was hurt by poison Prinplup was hurt by wrap Seviper was hit by metal claw, it is barely hanging on. Seviper used Bite.

"Get it off! GET IT OFF!" Titus' scream of command and desperation echoed throughout the battlefield. The Prinplup kept jabbing away at the aura coils to no avail. Then, the Seviper mercilessly drove her fangs into Imperator, sending him tumbling on the ground again. The penguin began to scream louder if he wasn't wailing and flailing like before, but that only drove the oxygen away from him, and Imperator began gasping for air once more. It was like being sandwiched alive by two large boulders while being repeatedly stabbed a thousand times. Imperator didn't even want to think about the occasional cough and sense of numbness popping in from time to time.
A second later after the Bite attack from Sung's Seviper, Titus saw his best Pokemon completely immobilized and helpless, just like the last battle. It was fruitless to even command him to get it off. The black fangs of the Seviper dug into him like knives, and the greenish hazy aura that made up the Wrap attack constricted Imperator as if the Seviper was still doing it herself. Still, the Prinplup's spirit never dampened, and he roared arrogantly: first right at the snake's head and then at the crowd. In turn, the crowd joined in screaming with Imperator, encouraging the Prinplup to fight on.
"Yes!" Titus pumped a fist to himself, feeling fired up once more. He even felt Imperator's need for revenge. The two growled at their opponents. It was time for payback. "Fire it off!" yelled Titus. Imperator took a deep breath and lowly growled at the hissing Pokemon. His arms glowed with energy, sparkled like glass, and grew tougher than metal. A Steel Wing attack, as Titus and Imperator intended. The Prinplup began to flail his glowing arms all over the place. If he could free just one arm from the double bind, then Imperator was going to slash at the Seviper and the coils. Maybe and just maybe, Titus and Imperator could regain control.
If not, then they would fall prey just like the last time.
