What type would they be? What pokemon would they use? What would their ace be?
Anyone who says multitype will be mocked relentlessly

Hm, that's a tough one... Most of the pokémon that I've marked down for Ray to catch on his journey, are Normal or Poison types. I've based this on what pokémon that would fit Ray's personality and which would give a good chemestry as a team.
But If I should look solely on my character and the 18 types in general... Then I think I'd make him either Electric or Normal type Gym Leader.

The Bug-Type Gym Leader
Does it really need to be said for Silas? lol
His ace would be Volcarona, hands down, then Mega-Heracross as a second.
Silas Edington Word Count: Edit Reasons:

Anthony would no doubt be fairy lmao. He would be a pretty chipper/upbeat gym leader? To the point where he might be underestimated a lot. Florges, Sylveon, Mr. Mime, Ribombee, Mimikyu, Togekiss would be his team. If he could only use three Pokemon, they'd probably be Mr. Mime, Ribombee and Mimikyu. Four would include sylveon. Not sure what his Ace would be though o/

Wanda would be a fighting-type gym leader. Her gym would be a converted warehouse in an urban district. It would be in a rougher neighborhood, but there would be signs that people care. Fresh paint; clear, if not clean, streets; graffiti wall murals; a fledgling community garden that is still mostly old lot; and a suspicious lack of marauding adolescents.
Said adolescents can be found down at Wanda's gym. It's a gym for both people and pokémon. It has exercise equipment, mats, and a weight room, but the crowning feature is the boxing ring in the center.
Wanda's gym offers regular boxing lessons and organizes community out-reach programs. A trainer entering the gym can expect to find the vast space a little dusty, the equipment a little worn, but with kids and adults hanging out and exercising. Everything that can be reached is fairly clean and well-maintained. A greeter lounging at a beat-up pressed wood desk and folding chair will greet the trainer.
"Hey, welcome to Wanda's! I haven't seen you 'round before. Are you here to train or to challenge?"
If to train, you'll be given a tour of the facilities by the chatty and personable greeter, but if to challenge…
"Heeey! Challenger comin' through!"
The greeter's voice echoed around the big warehouse. The exercise machines slowed and heavy weights fell down with an echoing clang. As one, the gym members turned their eyes to the new challenger, and then several people headed back toward the locker rooms.
The greeter smiled back at the challenger and said, "I expect you'll find your own way around. Here, take this."
You received a Fresh Water!
"Our leader, Wanda, specializes in fighting-type pokémon. Fighting-types can break through just about anything, but they have a real problem with flying, psychic, and fairy-type pokémon. Hey, don't thank me. Our leader knows it too, and she's got some tricks up her sleeve!"
After the trainer deals with some of the gym trainers and their comprobly-scaled pokémon, they come upon Wanda. Wanda, a short little thing with spiky red hair, is dressed in a dull-colored tank top, muay thai shorts, socks and sneakers, and wrapped hands.
"You made it this far. That's good," she said. "My name is Wanda."
She gave the trainer a slow once-over before nodding curtly. She bounced up into the boxing ring and slipped easily between the ropes. She bounced in place, testing the canvas, before turning back to the trainer.
"We do things differently here. Our teams will be out, ringside. Matches will go in three minute rounds. At the end of those three minutes, there will be a minute rest. During that time, you may choose to tag your pokémon out, or not. Your pokémon may try to tag out of the ring before the three minutes are up, but it is still a fight. Expect to be followed, and expect no mercy. If a pokémon should go down, they have ten seconds to get back up. If they do not, they are out.
Once out of the ring, a pokémon has twenty seconds to get back in the ring. If the pokémon is unable, that pokémon is out.
This ring is tough. Whatever you do, it can take it. Do you understand? Good. Let's go."
Wanda uses different pokémon depending on the level of the challenger involved. For lower levels, she uses a three pokémon team. It consists of a special-attacking combusken with focus blast and flamethrower and a life orb as her ace; and a tanky eviolite mienfoo with regenerater, fake-out and u-turn for chip damage and effective escapes even during the three minute rounds. It will also carry poison jab for fairy coverage. Her last pokémon is a speedy hawlucha with an expert belt. It has poison jab, flying press, rock tomb and u-turn. It's job is to remove the common fighting counters.
For tougher challengers, Wanda uses a four pokémon team. Her ace is a tough hitmonchan with an eye for weak spots and pressure points, good coverage moves, and an assault vest. She has a mienshao with regenerater/u-turn, but a more attack-heavy set with high jump kick and poison jab. She has a pangoro to switch into psychic pokémon. It is a bruiser and has parting shot, again to switch out. Her final pokémon is a mixed-attacking infernape with a life orb. It has overheat, close combat, u-turn and gunk shot. Because of fire's resistance to fairy, it is most likely to be switched into fairy pokémon, but will mostly use overheat, use close combat, then switch out with u-turn. Whatever it hits should be weak enough that it can get cleaned up by Wanda's next choice.
If you win, you get the Ring Badge and the technical machine U-Turn. It may not be a fighting move, but all of Wanda's pokémon know it! You can have Bulk Up instead if you really want it…

It's been a while, so I figure I'll answer this seriously.
Timeskip Bailey would be a close tie between flying and fighting, but I believe that flying would win out.
If given the choice, she'd have a skarmory, hawlucha, and crobat. Her ace I can see being either staraptor or mega pigeot.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk!
