Calta Contest

Hello All~

As most of you may have heard in the Discord Chat, we will be implementing Calta Island! We are very excited for you to jump right in within the next month! Calta Island consists of 2 Towns and 8 Wild Locations chock-full of Pokemon from every generation including the new Gen 8 – when of course, all the Pokemon are revealed in November. You may already see the Calta Map provided right next to the Town Map in the Toolbar on the site. Such a development has been in production for the last few months and with thanks to all Staff, and the main leader at the helm chaosonex, we are almost done! To commemorate this event and create hype and expectations, Godai has decided to hold a -

CALTA NPC PROFILE CONTEST !

This will be a contest in which anyone can join, including Staff! The only person unable to join is chaosonex. He will be the judge of all submissions in order to make everything as fair as possible. This means that even Staff will not have any advantages over members!

What To Expect:

• All applications will fill out a “Trainer Profile” – esque (code below) and submit it in a new thread to this subboard. Yes, your submissions will be public, but don’t worry, the timestamp will tell us when you submitted it to see whose idea came first in case any plagiarism goes on.
• All applicants will have the option to receive feedback from chaosonex via DMs.
• Prizes will be awarded based off of entry quality, and further prizes will be awarded based off of best in each category.
• There is (1) special category: Duke of Caltan, while the others are whatever class you may want in relation to Caltan: Trader, Trainer, Explorer, Researcher, Bandit, Shepard, Fisherman, etc! These are simply ideas.
• For any inquires about Calta itself, please visit #caltalk under “Godai Related” on Discord.
• Deadline to turn in all submissions is November ??, 2019 at 11:59pm PST. [Deadline has been extended to a TBA!]

Rules:

• You may only submit (2) applications for the Duke of Caltan, max. He must be Godian born.
• The Duke application must have a History. However, the generic applications do not need to have a History.
• There is no limit on the amount of applications for the generic Classes.
• It is preferred that you submit an image alongside your application, but if not, be as detailed as possible!
• Please avoid Generation 8 spoilers. This includes naming Pokemon and specific references/discussions to Generation 8.
• Please do not officially fill in the “Pokemon” section. It is merely text of what you feel fits your character the most.
• Please do not plagiarize from your fellow members or previous Character/Trainer/Gym Leader posts both on this site and Godai’s old site. If it looks like there has been a breach of this rule, your application will be void and further consequences will apply.
• There is no minimum or maximum wordcount!
• Don’t stress, do your best and please have fun! Do not compare yourselves to each other! No one app will ever be “better” than the other! ♥

As a reminder, the Calta Region will be almost the complete opposite of Godai. Keep in mind that Godai is a more modern technological dystopia while Calta has extremely little technology and is much more traditional and nature-driven! And the contest is closed without further ado, apologies for the delay. Each contestant put their hard work forward and it really showed. As chaos judged, he needed a second opinion and so I volunteered. That said, here our the winner and runner ups for the duke of caltan! In first we haaaave..

Due to the outstanding themes that fit well with Calta (growth is a very integral part of the new area if I may) and that write. Let's all give a round of applause even though he won't hear it! For your work on Adeline, you will receive a Big Nugget!

These entries were all tied for first admittedly, sadly Calta can have only one Duke and that was the unfortunate dilemma we faced. So it came down to the execution and effort, and we kept such in mind with the judging. That said, Seenter will receive a Peal String and bones can claim a Nugget.

There was a secret prize, and that was best NPC submissions! And in first we haaaave..

Whoa, the guy got us hook, line, and sinker! Way to reel in the big one! For your work on this brilliant man, you will receive a Big Nugget. Thank you for your work!
