Welcome ToTalama-Glas Plains “Like an ocean of waving green, Talama-Glas stretches as far as the eye can see. Every spring, the rains come and muddy the trails, and it isn’t uncommon for a trader or traveller to get stuck. It is said that much of Calta was like this once, before the mountains rose up and the darkness settled over Mara O’blan.
Pokemon are plentiful in these grasslands, and many of them are friendly. Be sure to watch them carefully, however. They know far better than a human does when a predator is stalking through the grass. ”
The Talama-Glas Plain stretches over much of southern Calta. It is bordered by the sea on two sides, and by the Sheyr Forest and the Morgil Chasms on the other two. Hills keep the plains from providing an uninterrupted view, making it easy to lose Pokemon in the long flowing grasses. The few roads through the plains keep close to the forest, so those who travel deep into the grasslands will quickly lose sight of the pathway. Finding your way back can be difficult, especially if care is not taken for a lengthy journey of following the cliffs. Common |

Points of Interest Lon's Folly - Half a day from the road there is a tower of stacked stones, all pure white. The tower stands roughly thirty feet tall and can be seen for a full days worth of travel. The ground around the tower is devoid of any markings or symbols to denote its purpose. According to the villagers in Tonan Geal, the tower was the penance required of Adair Lon. Lon was a legendary hunter who had stalked the guardian of Sheyr Forest for many years, the Pokemon seeming to relish in always staying just out of his reach. In a fit of rage, Lon chased the guardian for three days, finally striking it with his last spear as it fled into Talama-Glas. The moment the spear struck the Pokemon, it vanished, and all the plants began to whither. In despair, Lon turned to the elders for advice. They consulted the old ways and instructed Lon to build a tower of every unblemished white stone on Calta. It is said with each stone he placed, Lon grew weaker, and the plants grew greener. Only when the last stone was placed did the guardian return, laying Lon to his final rest beside the tower. Hill Burrows - Hidden in the Talama-Glas are a series of stone huts indistinguishable from any other hill from the road. Built in a dome and covered with dirt so grass grows atop them, nobody knows who made the huts, but there are several collections of them. It has been suggested they are villages from the earliest human settlements on Calta. The burrows seem to offer little to travelers other than curiosity. Many flood with even the slightest rain, and they do little to keep out the chill. Standing Glyphs - Near the cliffs there are carved stones standing improbably in a line. The carvings are individual to each rock, but do not have any linguistic traits to them. Coins and other offerings have been found at some of these stones, but nobody knows why.
