Hair Color & Style: His hair is a dark brown at birth, but becomes lighter in the summer. It’s about 3” in length and kept in a general mess, even though he combs it every morning. It’s almost like his hair is as laid back as he is. Regardless of what he does to try to keep it neat, which is very little, it always goes back to a disheveled look. Sometimes it clumps together in random spikes, but more often it just looks like bedhead.
Eyes: Chris’s eyes are a deep crystal blue color from his father, but slight flecks of hazel could be seen if someone looks real close. They are naturally large, however he keeps his eyes half closed in a relaxed manner. Strangers tend to think he has a sleepy expression, but those who know him realize it’s just how he is. The only time someone can see the real size of his eyes is when he’s mad; then his eyes take on a cold expression almost like ice. It’s the only time he opens his eyes all the way.
Clothing/Accessories: In most temperate climates he usually wears a t-shirt either a dark red or navy blue color. In warmer climates this might change to sleeveless or no shirt. Cooler weather produces a brown wool lined jacket. In all temperatures he wears navy blue jeans with a black leather belt, and shoes with good grips on the soles. Unlike his hair his clothes seem to remain wrinkle free or at least less ruffled.
On his right hand he wears a plain silver ring with a very small ruby embedded in the metal. A gift from his mother before he left on his journey. On his back he carries a standard brown backpack that holds a few days rations and his clothing. He doesn’t really have a style, since growing up out in the fields and in the city. He just dresses with whatever is clean, or relatively clean. He’s one for comfort and convenience.
General Appearance: Chris has a slight tan from spending most of his life in the outdoors working on his father’s farm. He has broad shoulders and a slight athletic frame to his tall body. Not strong like a weightlifter or sleek like a runner. He just looks fit for an 18 year old from working the fields.
Most who seem him dismiss him as lazy due to his relaxed posture. It’s not that he slumps down or hunches; it’s just that his entire frame looks relaxed. This doesn’t make him a pushover though, and those who bump into him on accident find a more solid force instead of someone they can shove around. Working on the farm has caused him to have a strong central core even though he looks relaxed.

Contrary to his appearance Chris actually pays close attention to everything around him. He's caring and protective of those around him, and appears distant because he prefers to watch and listen; rather than start conversations. If spoken to he’s more than happy to talk, and sometimes he’s even passionate about what he says. On topics he’s interested in (medicine, Pokemon, plants) he’d talk your ear off. Other topics he’s more than willing to keep up the conversation.
When it comes to tasks Chris is always alert and calculating. His classmates have called him the ‘Human Abra’ because he always managed to win during gym games. Not because he was more physically fit, but because he could almost predict where everyone else would be and managed to miraculously appear where he was needed. Like an Abra using Teleport. To friends this is a powerful asset, and to enemies….he doesn’t have any that are open about it for fear of what he could do to them. He’s not malicious or even physically violent, but many bullies have found that he’s not one to mess with.
Around most people he trusts them until they prove him otherwise. Growing up dealing with bullies he learned to hear their stories, and realized that a lot of their bullying was because of problems in their own lives. He never went out of his way to try and help them, as they chose to bully others, but he never hated them for it either. Instead he hated the abuse of power to make others do as they wanted, and that's something he could deal with. But until someone gave him a reason to distrust them he'd consider them an ally, and over time a friend.
History: In a way Chris was born of two worlds. His father was/is a farmer to a large farm that supplied food as well as herbs to the city. It was a delivery of said herbs to the Pokemon Center that his father James met his mother Sindy. She was new to the city, and his father offered to show her around. Over time the two slowly grew close, until his father had the courage to propose. 1 year later Chris was born.
Chris grew up having two loves of his life. Working out in the field gave him an appreciation for the land, and learning about plants became one of his passions. Visiting the Pokemon Center and helping his mother also gave him a passion for medicine and helping others. This slowly developed into a desire to help others. One of the biggest things he hated growing up was bullies. Even though he was rarely a target for them he still found himself hating those who picked on the weak. So he would stand up for the fallen and confront the aggressors. Which caused him to get in trouble and the bullies scot-free, as they were smart enough to not get caught. Getting detention for picking a fight with another student (no one ever took his side) can put a damper on one’s kind nature, but he was still determined to be nice. Sure he decided to punch the bully because he was picking on another student, but it was his punching that was caught not the bullying. This caused Chris to learn to bide his time and watch instead.
It wasn’t long before Chris realized he could read people and situations. Overtime he became better at it until he was able to be where he needed to be at the right time. He never used this to fight bullies, but to fight back. After all it’s much easier to innocently lead a teacher to the right spot to catch the bully rather than get in trouble for fighting. And anytime a bully tried to get back at him; Chris would always be in the right place to get the bully in trouble a second time. And a third, and sometimes even a fourth. Usually bullies learned to leave him alone after that, even when he stepped in to keep them from bullying others.

It was touch and go for over an hour while Chris helped his mother patch up the little one. It wasn’t until the next day that the bodies of the parents were found nearby where Chris found the young Pokemon. They were killed by a large predator Pokemon, likely a Houndoom because of the dark flame marks around the bites. This meant the little Skiddo was an orphan.
After much debate it was decided that she would be brought to a farm in order to recover, and since Chris was the one who found her she was brought to his father’s. Overtime she grew in strength as she healed, and soon was able to leave to care for herself. But she didn’t want to go, so the family got a new member. Over time she and Chris grew into strong partners, and it wasn’t until then that Chris gave her the name Samis (Sam).
A few more years passed until it was Chris’s 18th birthday. It was determined when Sam was brought in that she was born close to Chris’s birthday, so the two shared it. After blowing out the candles with Sam, Chris announced that he was leaving for a time. His parents were shocked and surprised, until he told them his reason. He wanted to go out and explore the world, and eventually find a bit of land where he could start his own farm. He had ideas on a Pokemon run farm, where he’d catch and train Pokemon to care for it while he continued to explore.
At first his parents were hesitant. Chris had never traveled farther than the nearby forest with. However Chris outlined his plan to his parents in order to ease their minds. He’d spend a few days away from the city in the Skytouch Forest to see how he fared on his own. Then he’d come back for supplies before heading out to farther locations. His parents finally gave their blessings, and after preparations were made Chris began the first step of his journey the following week.

This doesn’t make him a pushover though, and those who bump into him on accident find a more solid force instead of someone they can shove around. Working on the farm has caused him to have a strong central core even though he looks relaxed.

[b]Personality:[/b] Most people who just look at Chris assume he’s cold because of his half opened eyes and near permanent scowl. His relaxed posture and generally uncaring attitude has caused many to dismiss him as a loner or just cold. However those who actually talk to him have found there’s more than meets the eye.
Contrary to his appearance Chris actually pays close attention to everything around him. He's caring and protective of those around him, and appears distant because he prefers to watch and listen; rather than start conversations. If spoken to he’s more than happy to talk, and sometimes he’s even passionate about what he says. On topics he’s interested in (medicine, Pokemon, plants) he’d talk your ear off. Other topics he’s more than willing to keep up the conversation.
When it comes to tasks Chris is always alert and calculating. His classmates have called him the ‘Human Abra’ because he always managed to win during gym games. Not because he was more physically fit, but because he could almost predict where everyone else would be and managed to miraculously appear where he was needed. Like an Abra using Teleport. To friends this is a powerful asset, and to enemies….he doesn’t have any that are open about it for fear of what he could do to them. He’s not malicious or even physically violent, but many bullies have found that he’s not one to mess with.
Around most people he trusts them until they prove him otherwise. Growing up dealing with bullies he learned to hear their stories, and realized that a lot of their bullying was because of problems in their own lives. He never went out of his way to try and help them, as they chose to bully others, but he never hated them for it either. Instead he hated the abuse of power to make others do as they wanted, and that's something he could deal with. But until someone gave him a reason to distrust them he'd consider them an ally, and over time a friend.
[b]History:[/b] In a way Chris was born of two worlds. His father was/is a farmer to a large farm that supplied food as well as herbs to the city. It was a delivery of said herbs to the Pokemon Center that his father James met his mother Sindy. She was new to the city, and his father offered to show her around. Over time the two slowly grew close, until his father had the courage to propose. 1 year later Chris was born.
Chris grew up having two loves of his life. Working out in the field gave him an appreciation for the land, and learning about plants became one of his passions. Visiting the Pokemon Center and helping his mother also gave him a passion for medicine and helping others. This slowly developed into a desire to help others. Which got him into trouble at a young age.
One of the biggest things he hated growing up was bullies. Even though he was rarely a target for them he still found himself hating those who picked on the weak. So he would stand up for the fallen and confront the aggressors. Which caused him to get in trouble and the bullies scot-free, as they were smart enough to not get caught. Getting detention for picking a fight with another student (no one ever took his side) can put a damper on one’s kind nature, but he was still determined to be nice. Sure he decided to punch the bully because he was picking on another student, but it was his punching that was caught not the bullying. This caused Chris to learn to bide his time and watch instead.
It wasn’t long before Chris realized he could read people and situations. Overtime he became better at it until he was able to be where he needed to be at the right time. He never used this to fight bullies, but to fight back. After all it’s much easier to innocently lead a teacher to the right spot to catch the bully rather than get in trouble for fighting. And anytime a bully tried to get back at him; Chris would always be in the right place to get the bully in trouble a second time. And a third, and sometimes even a fourth. Usually bullies learned to leave him alone after that, even when he stepped in to keep them from bullying others.
The nickname of ‘The Human Abra’ came into existence when during PE basketball Chris made several steals and passes in a single game. Meaning as soon as the opposing team made it to their half of the court the ball would always find its way into Chris’s or one of his teammate’s hands because of him. It wasn’t because Chris was faster or more skilled; he just realized his ability to read a situation allowed him to be in the right place at the wrong time….for the opposing team. This continued into other games like dodgeball and even soccer, but gym days of running or physical fitness always put him in the middle of the pack.
Being born on a farm Chris always helped his father with the work after school. And then in the evening he would go to the Pokemon Center in the city to do homework and help his mother when needed. It was during one of these trips shortly after his 17th birthday that Chris found an injured baby Skiddo on the road leading to the city. It looked like its leg was bleeding, and several slash marks showed it was attacked. Looking around Chris couldn’t find the parents, so he lifted the exhausted Pokemon and took her to the Pokemon Center.
It was touch and go for over an hour while Chris helped his mother patch up the little one. It wasn’t until the next day that the bodies of the parents were found nearby where Chris found the young Pokemon. They were killed by a large predator Pokemon, likely a Houndoom because of the dark flame marks around the bites. This meant the little Skiddo was an orphan.
After much debate it was decided that she would be brought to a farm in order to recover, and since Chris was the one who found her she was brought to his father’s. Overtime she grew in strength as she healed, and soon was able to leave to care for herself. But she didn’t want to go, so the family got a new member. Over time she and Chris grew into strong partners, and it wasn’t until then that Chris gave her the name Samis (Sam).
A few more years passed until it was Chris’s 18th birthday. It was determined when Sam was brought in that she was born close to Chris’s birthday, so the two shared it. After blowing out the candles with Sam, Chris announced that he was leaving for a time. His parents were shocked and surprised, until he told them his reason. He wanted to go out and explore the world, and eventually find a bit of land where he could start his own farm. He had ideas on a Pokemon run farm, where he’d catch and train Pokemon to care for it while he continued to explore.
At first his parents were hesitant. Chris had never traveled farther than the nearby forest with. However Chris outlined his plan to his parents in order to ease their minds. He’d spend a few days away from the city in the Skytouch Forest to see how he fared on his own. Then he’d come back for supplies before heading out to farther locations. His parents finally gave their blessings, and after preparations were made Chris began the first step of his journey the following week.
