Luther sets out with Azalea, to search for answers at the Monastery in Northern Godai. While he found no new leads, he met with the world renowned Momo Dimartino. While he was there, he also befriended a very clingy Snubbull, and a starving sickly Joltik.

Danger Finds Its Way To My Idle Hands - 57EXP, 4,844, 7AP.
Luther is stopping over in Cascadia City. He attempts to test his pokémon's strength against an aspiring rock star, Jade. After the battle, Luther learns a valuable lesson from a concerned nurse about how he works with his pokémon. Later that day, Luther meets a strange woman named Regina, who leaves him with a business card for a homeless shelter. That night Luther encounters and battles some teenagers tagging buildings with a familiar symbol. Deciding he doesn't want to get tangled up in anything, Luther heads to the center for the night so his Pokémon can recover and they can continue on their journey.

Braving the trip to Marook Caves in the winter with only his pokémon was not the best idea. Luther gets lost when a storm rolls in, and eventually falls into a tunnel that collapses. He finds himself mostly unharmed in a cavern where he decides to whether the storm. They soon discover the cavern is also home to a powerful foe. In an attempt to protect Luther, Azalea evolves from Bulbasaur to Ivysaur, and the team makes a heroic new friend. On the way out of the cave, Luther finds a pokémon fossil and takes it with him. Eventually free of the cavern, and completely exhausted, Luther manages to signal the Pokémon Rangers in the area who come to his rescue and take him to Melka Village.

Injured by his ordeal in the Marook Caves, Luther is forced to halt his progress and stay a while in quiet Melka Village. While waiting to heal and to hear back from the lab about his fossil he meets a boy named Asil. Luther realizes Asil is struggling with issues similar to some of his own. In attempting to steer the kid away from the same bad road, Luther is forced to think about himself as well.

What starts as a nice escapade becomes disaster when Azalea is trapped under a rockslide with a foreign pokémon. Thanks to the help of two wayward trainers, Jaxon Himmel and Pruitt, Azalea is saved. Later on, thanks to a misunderstanding, Luther is attacked by a wild Machop. Impressed by his pokémon, Machop agrees to join them. In the end Luther returned the aide of Jax and Pruitt, when he discovered they were without supplies and lost in the Karsts. He helped them get to safety and signal the rangers sent to rescue them, before setting out on his own towards Sangproctor.

After a long trip from the Karsts to Sangproctor Luther sends the fossil he found in the Karsts off to the lab. He sends Regal home to play with his family and keeps Machop around to get to know her better. While procrastinating his looming gym battle with a bout of errands laundry Machop runs off. This leads Luther into a wild series of events involving connecting with his best friend Skylar, battling the most foul mouthed and short tempered trainer ever, and becoming the hero of the moment for a small public park. Luther finally manages to win a trainer battle for the first time, but Skylar confirms his long held fears about his abilities as a trainer. After they part ways a bit of late night training with Azalea leads to a dangerous encounter that stirs up deep wounds. Luther gets an unwanted 15 mins of fame as he resuces a fashion model with a secret, and then dissappears.
