These are wonderful McD~ Character Link: Colin TaukhonStyle Requested: Template #6 Color Theme: The blues seen there. But it's a dark ocean blue, grey, and white. (Blue: #256d91) Applicable GIFs/Character FC: N/A I was just thinking of a scenenic jpg instead there. Usable JPEG's: Click!Notes: Can I also ask for it to be a lil wider? If preferable, even a lil bit wider than Linden's result? Additionally, for the area in which you put the quote, the words look a little bit mushed together (not sure if it's my screen cause this laptop is not good right now) but is there any way to expand the space between the words a bit?

Ok here's the code to the Festival OOC thread. :3
[div align="center"]
[tbody]
[div align="center"]"The Spring Festival Arc"[/div]

Year #201 AG - Sponsored by Gcorp.
[/tbody]
[/div]
The Godai Pokemon Festival is an annual multi-day event held in southern Everlight District, Kroy, South Central, towards Southwind Seaport. Its venue is the Coliseum Arena and the surrounding area, as the nearby vast grassy clearings and the ocean, just a bit to the south, offer a lot in terms of additional activities. While the festival itself hosts a plethora of events, activities, shows and attractions it's main feature is without a doubt the "Rookie Kings" Tournament. While every festival varies in the number of tournaments it hosts this one is a stable of the event and allows only rookie trainers who are in their first year to compete. It serves to showcase the new talent but also bring together the new generation of trainers. Traditionally trainers who competed in the tournament have had good careers as trainers.
Godai's Pokemon Festival is traditionally held every Spring in Central and coincides with the Djitsi New Year. It is affectionately nicknamed the "Spring Festival" by some Godians due to being held in the Spring time. It was first held in 120 AG in Kroy but has switched venues over the years until 143 AG when the Great Godian Cataclysm struck. Afterwards it has always been held in Kroy, and in 144 and 145 had the biggest attendances up until that point. Originally it served the purpose of bringing together trainers and merchants, and boost both commerce and unity in the region, but especially after the Cataclysm in 143. While Delimas is the event that closes out a year, the "Spring Festival" is generally considered the first major, pokemon related, event of the year and serves to welcome the new generation of trainers and pokemon. Unofficially the spirit of the festival symbolizes the people letting go of their past selves and getting new ones, moving forward which they will let go of the next year. Kroy essentially being a port town is a perfect venue for it as it allows foreigners to visit, as well as allow people to travel from other parts of the country and do mini vacations. The ocean is only a short drive away, the beaches tidy, plenty of fishing opportunities as well as shopping and exploring Central itself. Not to mention all the activities happening on festival grounds!
Just on the southern outskirts of the Everlight Distric lays the Coliseum Arena, a large arena able to hold almost 25.000 people. In this arena is where the yearly pokemon battle tournament is done. It has large walls to protect the audience from wayward attacks and the floor can be changed to any type of terrain. Above the walls begin the bleachers, enough for thousands to watch the battles. In the middle of the seating lays a booth for commentators and the speakers direct both inside the arena and outside for those that want to listen but would prefer to do other things. The main building has two smaller arenas built around it, each having two smaller (roughly Gym sized) stadiums in it which are used for preliminary matches.
The Godai Region Annual Tournament, in particular the "Rookie Kings" tournament, is a massive draw not just to trainers but is also home to the Grand Contest Hall. It is one of the biggest contests in the land. It is beautifully decorated inside and out. It also has the toughest judges and the largest fan sitting area.
Also held at the same time is the championships for the Godai Pokemon Club (aka: GPC). At this event the best of the best are presented to the world. The finest specimen of pokemon gather to be crowned the champion, the perfection of not only its species, but of all species of pokemon in the Godai Region, and even beyond! In the back of the building sits the ring where the pokemon are presented to the judges (behind the building in a grass/water area for the largest of the pokemon) with small sections and tables set up for people to prepare their creatures. There are also pokemon information booths manned by experts in every typing for those who wish to inquire about things like the competition or pokemon nutrition.
With so much going on at once no wonder so much more can be seen. To either side of the arena, laying between the GPC building and the Contest Hall are performing stages. Musical artists, magic acts, comedians, any type of performers are welcome on these stages. Though specific times are set up for the more famous of these artists, when not in use people/pokemon can line up to put their acts on show if they have the courage and charm.
Vendors from far and wide come to hawk their wares. People that have new and imaginative creations stand to get you to purchase their products, anything from pokeballs to potions for the more conservative people. Or you can purchase outlandish outfits, scents for luring both pokemon and people alike. Strange contraptions that make you pause to hear the explanation on how it works to cook, feed, catch, clean, or anything you can possibly imagine. Some vendors even offer special sales for regular items if one is willing to browse around the many stands.
Food like you never seen before will line the areas. Dumplings, rice balls, ramen, sushi, pancakes, scones, boiled krabby and corphish to the finest tauros steak, anything that will set your mouth to watering is presented before you. The offerings vary from cheap and mediocre to expensive and marvelous. All you need is an empty stomach and few coins in your pocket, you will never go hungry again! Many people offer unique pokemon foods as well.
The fun doesn't stop there because everyone knows your sweety doesn't have enough jigglypuff dolls so make an attempt at the games! Pin the tail on the ponyta, test your strength by knocking over the bottles or ringing the bell with the hammer, toss the ball into the basket will win you some type of prize from small stickers to large stuffed pokemon. Maybe even a nugget?! Use the paper circle to lift out the magikarp it you're feeling lucky? Try for the goldeen or even the seaking, though he has yet to be won but you never know if you're the one to pull it off! If feats of strength or agility aren't your strong point and would prefer something more mentally challenging then attempt at becoming the champion of the Shogi Tournament. Almost any type of game can be found from the most amateur to those with the highest skill. So many to choose from! Even Trading Card Games can be played.
If games seem lame and you don't want to look at pokemon and your stomach is full, why don't you let your adrenaline rush for a while? A massive roller-coaster is set up for those that want to feel the rush or a large ferris wheel so you can see the entirety of the grounds and parts of the beautiful Everlight District. Try the Extreme Drop if you want to plummet several stories, get tossed around on the bumper cars. Enjoy a peaceful ride on the merry-go-round. There are rides for every age, be that you are 1 or 100!
As if all that wasn't enough, the streets are filled with performers to entertain you. Clowns and mimes walk the streets to tickle your funny bone, along with aspiring magicians to put you in awe of the world around you. Artists line the streets to draw or paint you and your pokemon. Stand in front of murals to change where you are or behind them to become your favorite pokemon. Music is, of course, not amiss either as various bands come to the festival to show their talents and songs. All the schedules are on the official website, but there is also an App to download for your holocaster. Live updates for the various tournaments and matches can also be received if desired.
Another aspect of the Festival is that there are several tents set up that serve as mobile pokemon centers where people can get their pokemon treated after a battle or two. As one might expect, these tents tend to be quite busy.
So much fun can be had and the area around is huge with so much excitement going on that your bound to become tired at some point. For this there is a large pokemon center to have your friends pampered or for you to stretch out and relax your body for a while. But be sure to book a room in time as it is not uncommon for trainers to seek alternative housing during the festival. If you are an outdoor kind of person though, there is a rather large camping area on festival grounds.
See ya there!

- Quarter and Semi final matches are 1 vs 1 single battles, while in the finals it is a 2 vs 2 match.
- Unless we do a GoogleDoc for a battle. After you post a battle post your opponent has 48 hours to reply. If he/she does not do so, you will be allowed to attack once again. If the same thing happens again you will be declared the winner via DQ. [THIS RULE is just here for now if we do PvP matches, don't worry about it]
- In order to make everything fair all contestants will send a PM with the pokemon they wish to start the match with to me before the match actually starts.
- Have fun! <3 [At the end of the arc people will have the option to vote for their favorite fight, and the vote winner (match participants) will also get prizes.]
Official Masters/Senior Trainer Matches:
- Held at the main arena.
- Official matches where distinguished trainers compete [Trainers with 8 badges, Current or former gym leaders [foreign and Godai's], Niju Elites etc.]
- NO PC matches this year, at least none that we'll focus on for now.
We might throw some NPC matches to observe but at this point I can't really promise anything.
Individual Trainer Matches:
- Sanctioned matches that people can enter outside of the tournament.
- Optional for anyone that seeks a bit of thrill and experience, and some friendly competition [Can be vs a PC or NPC].

Just on the southern outskirts of the Everlight District lays the Coliseum Arena, a large arena able to hold almost 25.000 people.

Hey, Nightmare! Sorry I didn't get to this for a while.
This is what I started with, but if you have any details that you'd like worked on, I can do that without issue. Font size, background color, or the border shades, anything like that, just let me know.
I didn't know how much pastel you wanted in there. lol Background versus border, basically. I can invert the color scheme, if that's what you'd prefer. Just let me know!

No worries! Admittedly I was expecting something darker, but the colors you used are much better than the ones I pictured in my head ♥ Thank you, I'll be using it right away!
