Miner Memorial Caves

These are abandoned mines that used to fuel the economy of both Sangproctor and Weswell. They dug for the many deposits of precious minerals and metals, but were forced to discontinue the project because of Wild Pokemon interference, and unfortunately the death of dozens of workers. The accident happened on March 20th, 186. There was an accident with some explosives and nearly a quarter mile of tunneling collapsed, crushing or suffocating many men and women. In memory of the lost, and everyone alive who remain affected, the State renamed the caverns Miner Memorial Caves.

Formerly known as Goliath Caverns, the undamaged tunnels remain open in a labyrinthine network made by both man and the pokemon who have reclaimed the area as their home. Some of the paths remain lit for trainers, others do not. Waiting in the dark there could be anything ready to jump out and snatch you.
