{Appearance}
Hair: Emily's hair is naturally thin and light, golden brown in color. She has a fringe that is left to blow around in the wind and sit wherever it falls. She doesn't fuss about her hair as a general rule as it was always her mother who would do it for her. Because of this, she never cared to style it herself or even bother to learn. If it's particularly windy and her hair is bothering her, she might tie it together and risk it looking messy as she misses half of her hair and ties it slightly off-center, or she would take the easier option and just put in a headband. Eyes: Emily's eyes match her hair in color. They are amber and in some lights they can look golden or ablaze in orange sparks. Set a little far from each other and wide. She is still very child-like and her eyes are always open wide with wonder. | Clothing/Accessories: Northern/Cooler Climates Not liking the colder weather, Emily would bundle up until she could barely move. A tank top with a shirt over that and a turtle neck jumper would suit. For pants it would be denim or whatever matches her jumper. Warmer Climates Being born and raised in south Godai, near a volcano, she is used to the heat and prefers the warmer weather over the cold. She wears any dress with a matching pair of flip-flops and jewelry. Or she might go with a tank top and shorts depending on her mood. Consistent She is never seen without a bracelet that holds a set of charms and other expensive pieces of jewelry. A necklace, earrings, other bracelets. Perhaps even an anklet. She's proud of her collection and is always willing to show it off, unaware of what some people might be plotting when they see such grand items. |
General Appearance: She is fit for her age, having some muscles but she isn't considered muscular. Despite the added mass, she is still thin and happy with her body. She shows this with the way she walks, her chin up and a little sway in her hips when she walks. Her natural pose is to lean on one leg and a hand on the hip, showing some form of defiance or unsure determination. While she is unsure of herself, she still wants to be on top, the one in charge. The anxiety about herself is only natural for someone so young who had been brought up in a sheltered lifestyle and is thrust into an open world. |
{Personality & History}
Personality: Still in her early teens, Emily is energetic and childishly innocent. She doesn't understand, nor does she realize, just how much trouble she could get into if she isn't careful, which makes her careless also. She has become this way because of her pampered up-bringing. She was always well-looked after from her parents, who did everything for her, including keeping her out of necessary punishments. As a result of this, she has grown selfish and uncaring of other people's opinions. Emily only had a selection of people she'd talk to in her childhood, and even then she'd only talk about herself or her personal issues, so it's easy to say she has very little to no social skills. She misses on visual cues and finds it hard to know when someone is uncomfortable around her, as she's too busy talking about herself to realize. When someone does want to cut in, however, she gets frustrated easily. While not knowing when someone around her is uncomfortable or frustrated by her constant ramblings, she is open and willing to talk with anyone who happens to cross her path. So long as they'll listen and not complain to her, she is happy. But as soon as someone does start to take control of the conversation, she will get upset and make it known. When someone opposes her, she will get big-headed and arrogant to some extent. She knows she is the best and she will always be, no matter who she faces. She is stubborn in this way of thinking, of being number one. But she can be stubborn in other ways too, for example, if there's something she wants. She will cry and complain and whine until it is given to her. Emily still has a lot of growing to do, but hopefully being on the road with Pokemon by her side, she will learn to be kind to others among other things, but only time will tell. |
History: Emily was born the only child of a wealthy couple in the bustling city of Aurmouth. As such, she was considered their prize and joy. She was spoiled rotten as a child, always getting whatever she pointed her finger towards with the same large eyes that would easily water up and burst with tears if she deemed necessary. Though Emily was never aware of her lifestyle. She grew into a selfish and sometimes unaware teen with no struggles in her life, as her parents ensured that she was always number one. Her school life was mildly different. As she was smart, she rarely got given any punishment. Except when she'd speak out of turn or to snap back a the teacher. Given her parents reputation of coming into the school and announcing that there was nothing wrong with their child and that she should be allowed to speak freely, the teachers would do little to discipline her. Her parents couldn't be more wrong, because she had them wrapped around her finger. Whenever she did something wrong while her parents are present, she'd con them into thinking that it was somebody else who wronged them. She had little awareness of this, though. She'd only cry because she was afraid of getting into trouble. The parents, always thinking their little princess wouldn't hurt a fly, would immediately assume that someone else had made her cry. Emily has hurt things in the past, however. As a 9th birthday present, she was given a Magikarp in a bowl. Despite being told it was her responsibility to feed it and clean the enclosure where it was kept, she didn't, causing the fish to die. Her mother and father decided to flush it down the toilet, telling her it ran away. She was of course sad about it and she did cry, only to demand for another one. And so the cycle continued. Another Magikarp died followed by a Feebas, which she probably didn't feed on purpose given how unattractive it looked. The parents soon decided that maybe a fish wasn't interesting enough and she just forgot to feed it because she never looked at it. For her 10th birthday, they got a Houndour instead and that seemed to spark something in Emily. She was shown to a world where creatures that blow fire and are energetic and can actually do stuff other than just swim in circles around a bowl exist. She of course demanded more, but the parents drew the line at one pet at a time. This made her upset, but a week after the fight, she had forgotten and was completely taken with the Houndour. Soon she realized that many of her friends, who were just people she'd brag to or complain with at school, were beginning to leave. Emily discovered that they were going on a journey to be Pokemon Trainers or just leaving to explore the world. She immediately jumped to her parents and wanted to go too, but they both agreed that she stay a while longer. Some might say they were aware of their daughter's selfish behavior and needed more time to grow up, but they would be wrong. Emily's parents only wanted her to stay because they simply didn't want her to go. She was their precious princess after all. This became apparent to Emily when she got the Pokemon that would become her partner in the years to come. After years of being spoiled and having every moment being treasured by her parents and their friends, Emily got bored. She was also lonely having no friends to listen to her incessant rambling. One day, when she was 13 years old, her Houndour, whom she would play with every day and ensure he was well-fed and looked after, had disappeared. Her parents, unure of what had happened, claimed somebody took him and she demanded that he be found. They hung up posters and called their neighbors but to no avail. Upset and with nobody to complain to, Emily sneaked out from her home and went a few doors down around the corner. She kept going and then turned into an alleyway and climbed the fence which looked rickety and almost fallen apart. On the other side of the fence was a selection of alleys that split off and went back into the city but she pushed on and found herself at one of the few old houses left standing, said to be abandoned. She had spent a whole afternoon there with no interruptions or weird happenings and found it pleasant to just be on her own for once. Despite being so lonely, it was good to just go somewhere on her own and talk to herself. She learnt that sometimes the best listener is yourself. Though she was unaware of the other creature who'd been listening to her venting. From the shadows, in the other room, a blue light could be seen flickering. Curiosity consumed Emily as she went to take a look and found herself face to face with a candle, that obviously wasn't lit up before, or it simply wasn't there before. Either way, it was not something she was expecting. She didn't scream or run away crying, surprisingly. Instead she was looking wide-eyed at the flame which was an enchanting teal tinge, instead of the standard orange or bright yellow. What made her run out of the house in tears was when it made a noise and looked up at her with it's own set of neon green eyes and a mouth. She quickly returned home and was un-surprised when she ran into her parents worried arms, both crying for two reasons. Number one being they didn't know where their girl had disappeared to, and number two being that she was crying as well. They wanted to make sure whoever made her cry would get what they deserved. But when the little candle hovered from around the corner of the house and behind Emily, they were both equally spooked. As everybody calmed down, the little Litwick stayed by Emily's side until she was comfortable with it's presence. It stayed with Emily for far longer than that and continued to follow her around the house and listen to her when she wanted to cry or rant. On her 14th birthday she was finally given something she had been asking for, but had been held off from for some while. That thing was freedom. The freedom to leave the house and do as she pleased. To finally join her friends on the Pokemon journey she aspired to do. With the Litwick that had been by her side consistently for almost a year, she set off to leave her mark on the world, in one way or another. |

She followed Emily back to her home and befriended her over time. He likes to help and get involved with the affairs of others, however, he usually ends up making things worse due to his strength. This never gets Phanphy down though, as he'll just keep trying harder to get things right. His cheery demeanor always manages to shine through his mistakes. {History} He was waddling happily to help whomever he came across, but being the unlucky baby elephant that he is, he instead was being teased by a small flock of four Doduo. They kicked and pecked at his body, yet he gave no attention. He simply tooted his trunk and kept going along his merry way. The birds all darted away at the sight of a young girl and the Phanpy was oblivious. He kept walking along until he bumped right into her. He kept on walking and his stubbornness attracted Emily's fascination. Little did she know that it wasn't stubbornness that kept him going. |
