{Tastiera}Abandoned and abused, Tastiera sees most people as her enemy. She hates anyone getting too close and finds it hard to trust humans and even other Pokemon. Independant, she refuses to let anyone tell her what to do or how to do it. If she wants to do something her way, she will, no exceptions. Recently, she's begun to open up a little more to her new trainer. She hates to admit it, but she's a little bit affectionate of this particular human. | {Ponticello}Friendly and approachable, Ponticello spent her entire life surrounded by humans. She loves to interact with them and adores her trainer the most. She's a little more wary around other Pokemon, not having the best socialisation with Pokemon while growing up. Despite that, she's more than happy to make new friends and greets every new member of the team with kindness. She's a tad easy to push around, and is often picked on by the others. | ||

{Martele}Stubborn and arrogant. Martele thinks he knows everything, thinks that he's the best at everything and if you say otherwise he'll fight you just to prove himself. Anyone that thinks they're better than him gets taken down a peg or two and if he ever loses a fight he sulks for over a week. He hates being told off, and while he is begrudgingly accepting the fact that his trainer probably knows what she's doing, he certainly won't listen to anyone else. | {??}None |
{Spring Prompt}
You come across someone (or someones) planting a garden. What are they planting, and why here? Is there any significance to it? And does your character jump in to help?
You come across someone (or someones) planting a garden. What are they planting, and why here? Is there any significance to it? And does your character jump in to help?
Steam rose from the heated water, filling the quiet, still air. Small white tendrils curling against the bright blue sky. The open air hot spring was less popular during the summer, when the heat was too stifling for most. But Allison preferred it that way, it meant less people to ruin her mood. It’s a calming place, only big enough for four or five people at most and with the inclusion of Pokemon on top of that it could get crowded rather quickly. High wooden fences and artificial rock walls surround the spring, enclosing it into the rest of the spa, it keeps up an air of privacy from the rest of the outside world. A much smaller layer of rocks lines the water itself, providing a ledge of sorts, with an opening at the front with steps leading into the water for easy access to both people and their Pokemon. Surrounding the pool is a ring of sand a few feet deep, allowing Pokemon that are more averse to the water to sand bathe if they'd rather.
Allison leans against the far edge of the spring, hair currently tied in a top knot to avoid it getting damp. She unscrews the lid of a small jar of Pokemon moisturiser, placing it gently on the rock edge. She scoops out a small amount of slightly teal cream, placing the jar on the rocks next to the lid. Spreading the cream between both hands, she gestures for Ponticello to come forward. Opening her arms to allow the Pokemon enough room to settle in front of her, Allison begins to smear the lotion along her cheeks and across the Kingdra's forehead. Ponticello hums in appreciation, eyes closed, head twisting to give her trainer access to the underside of her snout.
It’s a weekly routine of theirs, allowing Ponticello to soak in the hot springs and applying her moisturiser. It was a treat of sorts, and Allison loves to treat her Pokemon, especially if it’s beneficial for them. The cream helps to keep the Kingdra's scales from drying out and helps to maintain her water resistance. It’s good for the Pokemon, but it was relaxing for Allison too. There’s just something about sitting in the hot spring, spending quiet time with one's Pokemon, that Allison can’t get enough of.
Allison finishes rubbing in the cream, and makes sure to wipe off any excess in the crook of her arm before screwing the lid back onto the pot. Ponticello noses her way under Allison’s chin, rubbing her snout along Allison’s shoulder and headbutting into her chest. Allison smiles, petting Ponticello gently and hugging her close. They rub their cheeks together, Ponticello chirping happily and Allison replies in a short, quiet murmur. “I love you too.”
Allison allows Ponticello to roam the small spring as she places the lotion with the three Pokeballs placed near the rocks. She stretches out her arms above her head and twists her head from side to side, trying to relax her shoulders. She turns back around and sinks into the water up to her chin, relaxing back against the rocky edge of the water.
Closing her eyes, Allison allows herself to drift a little as she listens to Ponticello playing around beside her. The calming sounds of moving water, steam rising around her into the warmth of Tiensee’s summer air. The occasional sounds of the nearby sand shifting as something burrows through it. She thinks she hears the flapping of wings and smiles to herself.
Allison isn’t sure how long she stays like that, soaking in the water and enjoying the peace, dozing in a light sleep. She almost misses the unknown melody that starts gently floating across the back of her mind.
Hazel eyes open slowly, Allison’s brain rushing to catch the fleeting tune, not wanting it to get away from her. She watches the clear blue sky for a second, before lazily turning her head to the side. She spots Tastiera, her Zubat, crawling her way towards the water, her ears twitching towards even the tiniest noise. Allison can still hear the gentle shifting of sand working its way around the pool of water.
Tastiera clambers her way up onto the rocky ledge near her trainer, inspecting her surroundings quietly. She inches closer to the edge, staring over the rocks and into the depths below. She lowers her left wing towards the surface of the spring, dipping the tip of it into the warm, steaming water. She leaves it there for a second, basking in the warmth it provides.
Allison smiles to herself, enjoying the calm the hot springs often provides to her Pokemon. She gently raises her hand out of the water, wanting to give Tastiera some pets, but as it breaches the surface, the Zubat startles at the noise. Tastiera screeches and flaps her wings abruptly, flying into the sky and away from the oncoming hand.
Allison feels a little bad about it, but before she can apologise, Tastiera is already in her space. Landing on the messy bun of hair, the Zubat slaps her wings against her trainer's face. Allison couldn’t help but giggle. She could tell Tastiera was more irritated than anything else, and only a little spooked.
Allison gently grabs at the leathery membrane of Tastiera’s wings, keeping them spread open and away from her as the Zubat chews on her hair. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Allison gets out between laughs. She gets a loud shriek in reply and winces a little, but Tastiera stops the aggressive beating of her wings at the small appeasement, instead she nests atop Allison’s head and drapes her wings across her trainers shoulders, sulking and still sucking on a clump of hair.
Allison moves her attention from her Zubat, to Ponticello. The Kingdra swam through the water, blowing bubbles and small spouts of water, keeping herself entertained. It seemed almost unfair to interrupt her fun, but a quick glance to her hands and the pruning of her fingers indicated they had been there long enough. Allison still had more she wanted to get done today.
With a small sigh, Allison stands in the water, slowly making her way out of the spring, only slightly scared that moving too fast would send Tastiera crashing into the water. Noticing her trainer getting up to leave, Ponticello swims over to her side, chirping in excitement. Allison gently strokes along Ponticello’s snout, earning a happy trill, before ascending the small steps out of the hot spring.
She grabs the towel she left sitting nearby, and wraps it around her torso, making her way towards her Pokeballs. Kneeling, with her back straight and a hand hovering near the top of her head, trying not to dislodge the Zubat currently sat there, she grabs one of the Pokeballs, a normal red and white ball with a small sticker of a set of fangs. She presses the button and in a flash of red, Tastiera is sucked into the device with a small noise of complaint. Allison doesn’t like keeping Tastiera inside her ball for long, but it’s necessary when she walks through town, she doesn’t quite trust the Zubat to keep her fangs to herself just yet. Especially not if she ever feels threatened.
Picking up the next ball, one with a seafoam sticker, she presses the button and Ponticello, who swam around the edge of the spring to meet her, vanishes as well. “Martele,” she calls out. “It’s home time.”
It’s silent for a second, before the sand begins to shift and something burrows its way towards her. Allison picks up the ball with the sticker of a set of bug-like wings. The white furred head of a Larvesta pops out of the sand next to her, and Allison gives him a quick scritch under his chin before pressing the button and returning her last Pokemon to its Pokeball.
Collecting up her things, Allison straightens up and walks along the path back into the spa and the female changing rooms. As she walks through the doorway into the building, Allison passes another woman with dark brown hair, a kind smile and pretty blue eyes. Leaving the stranger behind, she realises her mind had gone quiet, the melody she’d been chasing no longer there.
