{Pulse}A bit of a loner, she had no friends or family, all of them either scooped up by humans or hunting Pokemon. One day she was attacked by a Pelipper, this poor girl was left to fend for herself on the docks of Amadour Port. Picked up by a young man and nursed back to health, she decided her chances of survival were greatly increased if she stuck with the kind human. |
Nathan watched, nearly hanging from the side of the boat, as Calta came into view. He leant even further over the railing of the boat, trying to get the best view possible of the small island. As the fresh air blew through his open jacket, the salty sea spray swelling against the sides of the boat, Nathan's excitement grew as he got closer to Calta. It was a new land, barely explored by Godians, and he had a chance to explore it for himself. He clutched the most recent paper in hand, where articles provided more information on the newly annexed isle.
Nathan's eyes skimmed the words once more, calling Godian trainers to travel to Calta to experience and explore. This was what he was meant for, what he had been born to do. His entire life he wandered and explored, trying to find what hadn't yet been discovered, and now was his chance. To travel lands not yet fully known, to find Pokemon and places that Godai had very little to no knowledge of at all. This was his calling, and it was entrancing.
Nathan's gaze shifted to the skies above the ship, where a small flock of Pokemon flew. A few belonged to the crew while the rest were the Pokemon of the other trainers on the boat. Nathan had briefly thought about letting Pulse out to swim alongside the boat, but he worried that it was perhaps too fast for her to keep up. A Braviary lead the small flock, Nathan vaguely remembered it belonged to the captain of the ship. It kept an eye on the seas and sky, ensuring their travel was as uneventful as possible. There were a few Wingull that may have been wild birds, but Nathan could see a Swellow and Skarmory he was sure belonged to someone else on the boat.
"Here you go," A young woman named Alice, somewhere in her early twenties with bright blonde hair, held out a bottle of water to Nathan. "Thought you might be getting thirsty. You've been staring out to sea for almost two hours."
"Ha, thanks." Nathan took the water bottle. He'd first bumped into Alice, literally, when he first came aboard the ship. He'd like to believe he impressed her with his stories of Amadour and the cliffs there.
The ship sounded its horn, signalling its approach to Port Baile. The other trainers and travellers perked up at the noise, the air thrumming with a sense of adventure that had Nathan bouncing on the balls of his feet. He could barely take his eyes off the approaching port town. He idly remembered to double-check his things, make sure he didn't forget anything or leave anything important behind. He thumbed Pulse's Pokeball where it sat on his belt and finally pushed away from the boat's rail as the ship slowly started to dock.
"Looks like we're here," Alice gently punched Nathan's shoulder, a smile on her lips. "Maybe I'll see you around."
"Sure." Nathan waved as Alice walked off to another part of the boat. His excitement simmered in his veins as the crew got the ship fully stationary before they could alight from the deck. It was time, he was here. Adventure called.
