Passion and Fire Peaceful Protests Turn Violent in Sangroctor City, Authorities Suspect Nexus but No Party has Claimed Responsibility. Miya Silvers
Terrible news in the hearts of Godai this evening, as worker’s rights protests in SangproCtor erupted into violence. Several Pokemon were used in the chaos, causing delayed responses from first responders. Tia Williams, a steel worker from Weswell, was caUght in the conflict: “We were standing there, and all suddEn there was this big flash of light. I saw this giant Magmar and it started spitting fire. Just everywhere, fire! I helped drag this security man, boy really, from the panic.” A response from West Godai’s Nijuu is expected to be released later this morning, though we have already received a preliminAry statement from the Sangproctor Chief of Police. According to official statements, it is believed that neither protestOrs, nor security forces were involved in the incident. A third party is believed to have infiltrated the protests with the intention of increasing the tension in this already dramatic outpouring of public dissent. It is not known if there are any suspects in custody. (See Passion and Fire, Page 2)
Summer Solstice Festival Miya Silvers | Capitol Heat Miya Silvers |
The heat is overwhelming all across Godai, and though its late, we’ve finally come to the Summer Solstice. Almost. Throughout Godai, people are affixing their summer wishes to talismans and tying them to trees in the hopes that they will be granted. The festival is expected to pick up as we near the Solstice itself, when a tournament will be held in Kroy. (See Summer Solstice Festival, Page 2) | With tensions rising across Godai, the Nijuu council has been locked up by several intense debates. Prime Minister Richard Star, has pushed through a bill requiring increased security for any high ranking members of the Nijuu on any travels outside Central Godai. He claims this is in an effort to maintain the “Sanctity of the Province’s Heritage.” Whispers in the hallways suggest a different motive. (See Capitol Heat, Page 3) |
New Arena opens in Aurmouth City Samuel Heartford | Power outage in South Godai Samuel Heartford |
Within the grandiose halls of the Starlight Casino, Alistair Ravensdale has unveiled a new attraction at the casino, aptly named the Starlight ‘s Golden Arena. The timing between the reveal of the new arena and Adelia Ravensdale is no coincidence. The Arena has been considered by many a gift for the matriarch. The arena’s metaphorical cherry was popped by none other that Martini Ravensdale, daughter of Alistair. (See Hubris & Humility, Page 4) | South Godai experienced a power outage earlier this year. Officials believe the cause is due to Nexus activity. Eye witness reports place a couple of men in the powerplant moments before the power outage. (See Long Time No See, Page 5) |
