Imperial Plaza
As much as 'Plaza' may sound like it is a metropolised part of the city, the Imperial Plaza is probably one of the most natural. A great wide expanse of a lawn with trees artfully placed in symmetry, the great lawn itself is a place to hang out, even if you have no business at the buildings around about.
However intriguingly well made the plaza is, it's the buildings which hold far more importance. First, to the right coming into the plaza is the Office of the Prime Minister. The very residency of the elected official who is in charge of day to day management and distribution in Godai. In charge of a lot, actually. The building, a formerly old building patched up when the imperial family recently decided to hand most of the responsibility over to an elected official, is certainly a work of art, although it's easy to recognize just how impromptu the makeover was. For any that wish to go inside, there is a waiting list, guards, and a league of bureaucratic red tape to wade through.
On the opposite, the left side of the plaza, lies the Hall of Centurion. This old, gilded hall, open to the entire public, is where the Imperials would host their public congress every month, for the people to get a say in. It was much laudered as the one thing standing between the imperial family and tyranny, and while the congress no longer happens, it is still used for many meetings and for the congress of the newly enstated government that does things for the imperials. While it hasn't been renovated in years, it is thought that the slight fadings and small signs of wear and tear give an old charm to the building.
Between these two lies one building far more important than either. The Sunagawa Palace, residency of the imperial family themselves. There are a lot of opinions about the family who had complete dominion over the entirety of Godai just by virtue of blood for years on end, but with their recent move to give power to the new government, and, in turn, the people, they are something of a peoples hero. The building itself has been renovated several times, each time a new job done to keep the now quite old building still looking excellent and in good condition.
Surprising, that, considering that the building itself was the very first one built upon the founding of the Godian Empire. During the consolidation, this very building was created, and it's one of the very, very few from that era of history that is still standing, and it is the only one that is so well kept that there isn't a single flaw in the building.
Trainers who come to the Imperial Plaza are either there to relax in the shade of the great sycamore trees, or for official business. Though very few with official business are actually allowed into one of the three great buildings...
